Adult Tatalia sketch

So this is what my dragoness, Tatalia, would look like were she to reach the age of about 50 or so. Still rather young, but past the point of being considered an adult by dragon standards.
if you look at this picture here --> [link] you can see where the feathers on her shoulders have fallen out to be replaced by the crystalline scales. You can also see a few other details that have grown in around her chest, forearms and nose. Jeweled Dragons are often born with feathers covering parts or all of their bodies, which fall out and are replaced by the shimmering scales for which they're named once they reach age 30-35.
I want to color this, but I think I may be in over my head to try and get the effect I want.
